Install Process

  • Install Universal Androot
  • Mount and copy to SD Card
    • Blade Recovery Manager 0.26b
    • recovery-clockwork-blade-2.5.1.8.img
    • ROM update
  • Unmount
  • Install Blade Recovery Manager
  • Run Blade Recovery Manager and install recovery image (2.5.1.8)
  • Reboot into recovery
    • Wipe data / factory reset
    • Install ROM

Issues

  • CVS import of contacts breaks Caller ID, had to sync via google contacts.
  • TextSecure failed to send SMSs, uninstalled
  • PdaNet bluetooth DUN not working

Gen2 Gingerbread Upgrade

  • Convert from Gen1 to Gen2 memory map
  • Install Gingerbread (2.3.x) ROM

Upgrade Process

  • Update/Install Clockwork ROM Manager
  • Using ROM manager:
  • Unzip ROM to sdcard root (creates /image)
  • Reboot into TPT
  • Power off, wait a few seconds, then power on with menu & vol+ held. "It should take a few seconds to flash the new Gen2 firmware (you should see some green text), then it should reboot into ClockworkMod recovery, use that to wipe data & then install your Gen2 rom."
  • Remove the image directory from the sd card

Once installed, vol+ & power boots into TPT if there is an image directory.

Issues

  • All SMS messages lost
  • Wifi broken
  • Lock screen broken (can't unlock!)
